Went hunting for some dogs this afternoon, and had a good set up right off the bat. I was about 8 minutes into a call using a Squealing Bird call followed by a Coyote Pup Distress and had a juvenile dog fly by me at Mach 1 speed! All I could do was try to swing the shotgun around in time to "woop" at him and slow him down. He was right at 35-40 yards when I squeezed off the #4 load and followed it up with another on a dead run. Walked over to where I last seen him and found blood in the snow, so I started tracking him thinking he has to be bleeding out soon. Ended up tracking him for almost 3/4 of a mile and said to heck with it! I hate not to get my hands on a dog or at least get a picture, but a good dog is a dead dog and he'll die before sunrise!
